Namshi partners with China’s largest online retailer, JD.com

UAE-based Namshi has signed a strategic partnership agreement with JD.com, China’s largest online retailer, to bring the best of Chinese lifestyle products and digital capabilities to the Middle East through Namshi’s e-commerce platform.

Namshi will launch several fashion and lifestyle brands from China in April 2021 and further grow its selection and options over time. The product mix will include exclusive sports and activewear brands as well as leading
Chinese and global brands in apparel, beauty and accessories.

Namshi will also support JD.com with its local logistics and multi-country warehousing, marketing and content creation and translation efforts. Namshi and JD.com will also collaborate on several omnichannel like ‘click-and-pick’. “This strategic alliance between Namshi and JD.com represents a momentous event in the story of e-commerce in the Middle East. Through this partnership with JD.com, Namshi’s customers in the Middle East and beyond will have access to a greater variety of exclusive brands and a globally benchmarked user experience. JD is a fast growing powerhouse in Chinese and global e-commerce and the collaboration between Namshi x JD can further develop lifestyle e-commerce in the Middle East,” said Hadi Badri of Namshi.

“Based on the mutual trust and experience in supply chain and logistics solutions, JD.com will cooperate with Namshi to introduce the best of global supply chain and logistics services for Middle East shoppers. We also seek long term success with Namshi in future business development and innovation. We are excited to join hands with Namshi and power the next wave of growth in the Middle East’s lifestyle e-commerce market,” said Mao Dun of JD Group.

The Namshi x JD.com partnership will add the most popular and trending Chinese brands like Baleno,
Dodogogo, Latit and Mo&Co to the Namshi platform, with several more global brands to be added over
time.

Customers can look forward to browsing the exciting finds from the Namshi x JD.com partnership soon
on the Namshi website and apps.
