Sole DXB – a regional lifestyle platform for footwear, fashion, culture, art and design – has announced the addition of the d3 Marketplace in collaboration with Dubai Design District (d3). The new format will house 12 breakout brands from the region and further afield, who will be showcasing their latest collections, limited edition products and pre-season drops, exclusive to Sole DXB 2019 that will run from December 5-7, 2019.

The d3 Marketplace will be an independent area focused on giving talented, emerging brands a platform to tap into the global audience at Sole DXB. Representing a roster of womenswear, menswear and accessories, the concept is committed to championing independent brands that incorporate new generation practices, including upcycling, innovative streetwear materials or community-based initiatives. The curated concept is aligned with Sole DXB and d3’s ongoing efforts to support local and independent communities.

The 12 brands at d3 Marketplace include Azra, DOPECLVBWORLD, Faces&Laces Locals, Jungles Jungles, Leaf Apparel, Liars Collective, One and Four Studio, Reconstruct Collective, Selfi, SIX5SIX Street, Tania George, Vent, WAFFLESNCREAM and Xzavier Zulu.

“We are proud of our continued strategic partnership with Sole DXB, which has proven to be a huge success since 2014,” said Khadija Al Bastaki, executive director at d3. “This year, we are excited to launch the d3 Marketplace, a new initiative that aims to nurture local and international independent brands, giving them an opportunity to showcase their products and widen their consumer base within the region. We hope to give visitors a unique experience and introduce them to an even larger selection of urban wear.”

The specially curated d3 Marketplace brands represent global talents from Australia, Nigeria, South Africa, Russia, the Netherlands and India. Focusing on emerging brands, each with their own flair, the Marketplace concentrates on new, breakthrough talent coming from all corners of the world.
