Cinemacity IMAX, a project by Sharjah Cinema Company – which is a joint venture between Xclusive Cinema Holding of Lebanon and Alef Group – will be opening the doors of their brand new multiplex to the public on April 10, at Sharjah’s new Zero6 mall. The multiplex will feature an IMAX theatre.

The IMAX theatre at Zero 6 will feature the UAE’s biggest IMAX screen to date, along with an exclusive VIP lounge for IMAX ticket holders. Inside the massive theatre, guests have the option of enjoying three different classes of seating – Deluxe Class, Club Class seats with semi reclining chairs as well as extra legroom and the luxurious full reclining VIP Star Class seats that come with in-theatre service, providing guests with anything from popcorn to fine dining. The IMAX theatre is set to premiere with the release of Warner Bros. Pictures’ Rampage.

In addition to the IMAX theatre, Cinemacity will also feature 2 VIP theatres with dine-in service and an exclusive access to the Star lounge, and five large screen theatres equipped with the latest in laser projection technology by Barco and Dolby Atmos sound systems. Cinemacity will be showing a variety of Hollywood, Bollywood and Arabic blockbuster movies catering to the diverse population of the Northern Emirates.

“We believe we have found the right partner to ensure that our shared expertise in delivering outstanding customer experiences will be perfectly translated into one of our most ambitious projects yet – at Zero 6,” says Sheikh Khalid Sultan Al Qasimi, chairman, Alef Group.

“We have always strived to provide our guests with an unmatched quality of cinema experience, consistently setting new standards through our luxurious and state-of-the-art cinemas across the Middle East. By partnering with IMAX at our newest location, we are proud to provide the Northern Emirates and Sharjah with their first IMAX theatre, and a cinema-going experience unlike any other in the region,” adds Hammad Atassi, CEO, Xclusive Cinemas.

Xclusive Cinemas SAL Holding will operate 116 screens by the end of 2018 in five countries including Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, the UAE and soon, in Saudi Arabia.
