A pop-up dinner experience, LA CASA AZUL, was organised by INKED – a warehouse space based in Alserkal Avenue that hosts events and concept dinners – during Art Dubai 2018. This pop-up dinner series was an ode to Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.

The dinner experience at INKED showcased the multimedia art installation by Flora&Faunavisions, which was a thoughtful interpretation of the artist’s life, paintings and her beloved Mexico and people of the corn.

The menu design, setting and art installation tableaux illustrated different moments of joy and sadness in Kahlo’s life marked with elements of adversity and sorrow, though they never clouded her love for life.
