UK shoppers waiting for Black Friday sales

UK shoppers are seen delaying their purchases, particularly electronic products.

The reason is probably the approach of the extremely popular Black Friday when many retailers offer sharp discounts on these items.

Retail sales declined by 0.2% on a like-for-like basis in October compared with the same period last year. Even though total sales were up 0.9%, it was lower than the 1.4% recorded in October 2014, indicates the latest retail sales monitor compiled by the British Retail Consortium and KPMG.
